The Pack Environment Provides Less Stress

Our dogs know that the employees at Royuk Ranch are the leaders of the pack. Our staff has experience as pack leaders and understands doggy behavior, play, and body language. We approach our dogs with calm and confidence, and we pay attention to your dog’s cues so we can meet their needs if they are tired and no longer want to play with the pack.

Dogs Learn the Rules Quickly

As they settle into the pack, our dogs pick up on the routines and rules of the ranch quickly. When it’s time to go from one area to the next, they follow each other’s social cues and come along as a group. Our guests quickly pick up the pack order and find their place in the group, meaning we see fewer dominance behaviors between guests.

Allows More playtime and Independence

Because we are set up for pack playtime, all of the dogs end up being able to come out of their sleeping areas and run, play and explore in a more natural way. This makes their boarding stay much more enjoyable!

Remember, leave your pet’s toys and bones at home. Introducing these items into the pack environment can lead to possessiveness and competition between our guests. They can have plenty of fun without the added toys!

Unsure if Royuk Ranch is Right for Your Dog?

All dogs must participate in a Meet & Greet so we can evaluate their temperament and ensure they can safely join our pack. It’s important for each dog to be able to test out their place in the pack to ensure that everyone is comfortable. Please check our policies to ensure your dog is ready for their visit.

If the pack is not the right fit for your dog, we do offer other boarding options that still provide the exercise, comfort, and peace your dog needs.

What Should I Do Next?
Bring Your Dog for a "Meet & Greet"
All dogs who stay at Royuk Ranch, be it for doggy daycare, or a longer overnight boarding stay are required to participate in a Meet & Greet.
This visit will allow us to assess how well your dog fits in with our Pack environment and gives them a chance to play with the other dogs in a safe and supervised environment
The Meet & Greet is a full day that will make a huge difference to your pet. Visiting us also makes Royuk Ranch feel like a familiar, fun place to be. This way, when your dog comes back to stay without you, they won’t feel as stressed or worried. As, Royuk Ranch is already a place that they know and like to visit!

Know What Items to Bring
Food: One of the most important things to remember when you bring your pet to stay at Royuk Ranch is their food. Dogs do best when their diet is consistent, and bringing food from home ensures they won’t experience any stomach discomfort while staying with us. We even suggest bringing extra in case your stay gets extended.
Medication: Bring any medications they need, packaged well with clear directions and dosage information.
Leash: All dogs visiting Royuk Ranch must be on a leash at all times for their safety until they are in their appropriate environment. We require all dogs to be in a quick release collar with proper identification.
Bowls: Feel free to bring their slow feed bowl if they typically use one.
You can also bring comfort items from home. I suggest bringing a blanket or stuffed animal that they normally sleep on so their kennel will have a familiar smell. This will help your pet relax and enjoy their stay at Royuk Ranch.
Leave These Items at Home
Â
Feed and Water Bowls: Feel free to leave these at home as we have plenty.
Toys: Please leave all toys and bones at home. Dogs tend to be very possessive and protective of these items and we want to make sure all of our guests are happy and safe.
If you are unsure about an item, please feel free to ask our staff if it’s a good idea to bring it. We’ll be happy to answer any and all of your questions.
