Why a pack environment is the best for your dog

Royuk Ranch offers a unique pack environment which helps dogs feel at home, learn the rules of the ranch quickly, and have more fun.

The pack environment helps dogs feel less stress

Our dogs know that the employees at Royuk Ranch are the leaders of the pack. Our staff has experience as pack leaders and understands doggy behavior, play, and body language. We approach our dogs with calm and confidence, and we pay attention to your dog’s cues so we can meet their needs if they are tired and no longer want to play with the pack.

Dogs learn the rules quickly in a pack environment

As they settle into the pack, our dogs pick up on the routines and rules of the ranch quickly. When it’s time to go from one area to the next, they follow each other’s social cues and come along as a group. Our guests quickly pick up the pack order and find their place in the group, meaning we see fewer dominance behaviors between guests.

Our pack environment allows all of our dogs more playtime and independence

Because we are set up for pack playtime, all of the dogs end up being able to come out of their sleeping areas and run, play and explore in a more natural way. This makes their boarding stay much more enjoyable!

Remember, leave your pet’s toys and bones at home. Introducing these items into the pack environment can lead to possessiveness and competition between our guests. They can have plenty of fun without the added toys!

Unsure if the pack is right for your dog?

All dogs must participate in a Meet & Greet so we can evaluate their temperament and ensure they can safely join our pack. It’s important for each dog to be able to test out their place in the pack to ensure that everyone is comfortable. Please check our policies to ensure your dog is ready for their visit.

If the pack is not the right fit for your dog, we do offer other boarding options that still provide the exercise, comfort, and peace your dog needs.
